Well - where should I start...

I met Morris several years ago at his studio in the far North of Scotland.
He played me some of his compositions - and that did the trick - his music is just there.
I really like his music.

For example his 'percussion wizard' performances for BrandX (together with Phil Collins, Percy Jones, John Goodsall, Peter Robinson, Robin Lumley), as well as the writing and playing that he did with his own bands 'Come to the Edge' and 'Suntreader'. Noteable also is his work with the famous Japanese percussionist Stomu Yamashta and the Red Buddha Theatre.

Morris is also a composer of contemporary classical and chamber music. He has composed three symphonies and various commission pieces. More about this in his CV.
Recently I had a chance to listen to some of his new electronic music - and I must say, it is most amazing! Look forward to the CD releases.

As Morris said: "I like to write music that I haven't heard before."

For those of you who have never heard his music, I recommend downloading the mp3s from this site and also you will find lots of Morris's work elsewhere on the web (some of his own compositions - but mostly performing as the percussion wizard that he is), if you look for BrandX  (the Masques album has three of his compositions on it), Mike Oldfield, Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney's Rockestra, Kate Bush, T.
